I once wished I was good enough to play on a slow pitch softball team. Does that count?

Congrats to the girls!!! A heck of a year a we got a bad draw to make it to the world series. We were one of the best teams in the country but not the best. I had fun following this team this year. We will miss smith, orgeron, Cormier, and Brignac.

they had 2k for game 2 and 1200 for game 3. Why did you 800 people even show up at all? Were y'all expecting to lose and made other plans?

Quit being a douchebag, its not time to question someones support of UL. Everyone on here bleeds red and white, we all love the cajuns no matter what. Sometimes we get aggrivated at the outcome and complain about it, oh well. If you dont like it then hop onto I10, drive east for an hour and jump on a bandwagon out there... I hear they love it

I really thought this was going to be the year the softball team would break through and win a NC. I think if the series goes 3 days we come back and win, but that's not the way it was drawn up. Thank you girls for being the class of the athletic department hands down.

We lost to the defending national champs who went 18-4 in the PAC 12. That conference has won 24 of the 30 titles in the sport of softball. Our girls did not choke, they competed just as hard as they did all season long. They simply lost to a very good team. It does not diminish the excellence they displayed this season. I may be stating the obvious here but it's very difficult to be the last team standing at the end of the season and be crowned champion. Let's be thankful that we have a program that is consistently capable of being in the elite company of teams who frequent Oklahoma City.

We can still be them. Our time is coming. I did not realize Brignac had to completely remake herself. Courageous effort. Next year we will have the Rosepine kid back and who knows what talent the Lotiefs will bring in to the fold. ASU is lucky that Brignac was not her old self or the second game would have been much different.

    Great Season Lady Cajuns Again.

Seems like we always get paired with a national Champ.

2010 we got paired out west against UCLA in the Super Regional who went on to win the National Championship that year.

2012 we get paired out west again against defending National Champs of 2011 Arizona State in the Super Regional after winning one of the hardest Regionals. They beat us 2 out of 3. It wouldn't surprise me if they go on and win the National Championship again this year.
