His Ragin' Cajun football squad backed off significantly from a very physical Tuesday practice, but University of Louisiana coach Rickey Bustle still managed to work in some physicality during a two-hour Wednesday drill.

"It's pretty much what we try to do every Wednesday," Bustle said after the shoulder pads and shorts practice. "It's still a little physical. We try to make this practice about 50-50 between physical and mental."

The Cajuns, wrapping up preparations for Saturday's 7 p.m. contest at LSU, spent much of Wednesday's drills working on special teams - continuing an emphasis that included most of the team's workouts last Friday and Saturday.

"We worked a lot on hands team, super (onside recovery), kickoff and kickoff return," Bustle said. "Mostly, we're still trying to get into game-week mode, and make sure our guys realize what a Sunday practice is, what a Wednesday practice is, and what we need to accomplish."
