The Opelousas Police Department unveiled new technology designed to help local businesses fight crime.

It's called Police Watch and it'll give businesses the option to let police have live, streaming access to surveillance video in the event of an alarm.

"It's being proactive, its about prevention, it's about prosecution."

Knowledge is power and Police Chief Perry Gallow says this system gives police a valuable advantage.
