Chester Johnson and Johnny Felders were wide-eyed freshmen the last time the University of Louisiana met up with LSU, and those eyes saw a lot.

"Me coming from a small AA school and seeing a crowd like that, it was pretty exciting," Felders said. "But it wasn't one of my best games."

"It was a learning experience," Johnson said. "It's kind of hard to put into words."

Johnson wasn't the only one speechless after a 48-0 pummeling at the mid-point of the 2002 season, during what ended up as a 3-9 campaign in Cajun coach Rickey Bustle's first season at the helm.
It was 21-0 11 minutes into the game and 34-0 midway through the second quarter.

"41-0 at the half is what I remember," Bustle said when asked about the 2002 game. "We'd had a rough week, but we were playing a team that was just a lot better than we were."
