"It's our home field, and we're almost unbeatable on our home field," she said. "We're ready to pack the seats and show (Louisiana-Lafayette) that it was just a one-time thing, and that we're going to take two (games) -- hopefully the first two right away."

HMMM? Sounds like someone wants to settle a score?? Wait a minute??

That's good. Y'all come in mad and overconfident. We'll come in focused. Then y'all come on over and watch us play a few softball games in Oklahoma. Y'all aren't doing anything that week anyway, right?

    The Cajuns will rout ASU.

I appreciate your enthusiasm. What makes you so confident that the Cajuns will walk over ASU?

We have the best hitting team in the country. No weak parts of the batting lineup. Escobedo walks a fair amount of batters. Our girls will make her pay.

Everybody talks about their bats. They did score 9 against LIU-Brooklyn in the regional, but managed only 3, 0 and 4 runs in 3 games vs. Syracuse. I promise you Jordan and Ashley pitch at least as well as Syracuse. Meanwhile, the Cajuns dismantled a pretty good (I'd guess better than Syracuse) Stanford team.

Our fans will probably be louder and more enthusiastic than theirs in their own ballpark.

I just feel like these games are going to be routs in our favor. If not, I'm an idiot. But I'm extremely confident we'll win this thing.

When we went to UCLA, there wasn't any chance I could muster even the hope that we'd come out of that thing. I think this team is capable of doing to Arizona St what UCLA did to us.

We may not win the thing. But I'm telling you this: this team has every ingredient necessary to win the National Championship. Not only do I think we'll win, but I think we have a LOT of softball left.

I guess we'll see. But I'm very confident going to ASU.

He is a fan, they and can be overconfident, but the overconfident player on ASU, that is a different thing.

Yeah, I'm saying things like "I could look like an idiot in 48 hours, but..." and she's saying things like "revenge is a dish best served cold." I'll take my position over hers any day. Especially in 48 hours
