TEMPE, Arizona -- Tuesday was a travel day for the Ragin’ Cajun softball team as the UL players, coaches and staff left Lafayette and traveled to Tempe, Ariz. to take part in the NCAA Super-Regional at Arizona State on Thursday.

Interesting that Stanford and Oregon got a chartered flight to the regionals but we have to split into four groups on commercial flights. Now maybe Stanford and Oregon picked up some of that tab but I doubt it.

Stanford and Oregon undoubtedly paid the tab for the charter flight.

Actually, no. From my understanding, the NCAA chartered a large jet to move Oregon State and Stanford east for regionals, and then used the same jet to pick up eastern teams going west. The plane ride itself was referenced in the blog by Stanford shortstop Ashley Hansen.
