UL Football Eagles make trade for Dante Stallworth

Looks like Stallworth is an Eagle now and the Saints will be getting LB Mark Simoneau and a fourth round pick.

PS. I know this site is to intended to be for Ragin' Cajun news, but if you're a Saints fan, it's big news.

On a side note the reason this deal went down was that the deal for Donnie Edwards from San Diego fell through about a week ago. I read this somewhere on ESPN's website.

I hope this means Mike Hass makes the team.

With Stallworth on the team I hope Sampy can stay on the team and make the roster soon.

You think we can convince Simoneau to put an x on the end of his name for his jersey, LOL

I forgot this was Sampy's team.

I read a story about Eagles having too many receivers yesterday.

I am hoping practice squad, NFLe and then the Panthers.

Yeah I would love to see him and Jake hook up!

There's been some rumors that the Panthers are trying to work out a deal for D. Edwards, which would certainly increase Jake's chances of getting back to the Super Bowl. Not getting an opportunity to compete in New Orleans was probably the best thing that could have happened to Delhomme, and I'm one of the many Acadiana residents whose loyalty left the Saints when Delhomme won the job in Carolina.

As for the Saints, hopefully this may give D. Henderson a chance at the number two job. He has the talent, but needs to produce. It would be great to see a local OHS grad prosper with the Saints.
