Man, I'm a long way from Voorhies now. Looking back, I think the parish jail might have been nicer. I didn't mind it though. It was my first taste of freedom. Watching that video is weird because I can see my window, and I can visualize myself standing there as the place crumbles. 6th floor, second room from the end closest to the onlookers and cameras. I used to watch girls go by from that 6th floor hall window. Also watched the girls from Denbo approach for the traditional "underwear raid," which got out of hand and was cancelled going forward. A couple of guys created a water balloon launcher for that 6th floor window. They were able to bomb people as far away as the corner of Rex and Lewis.
