Poll - BullGator Mascot/Spirit Leader

I like the red gator. the pepper could be on his jersey in some fashion. We would not have to spend big bucks on a cage for a real one either - we already have the swamp on campus. He will not be the only gator among NCAA mascots, but Tony is not the only tiger either, there must be 10 of those, and several bulldogs, cowboys, etc. I don't believe that to be an issue, especially if he is red and wears distinctive UL colors and the pepper. Keep the idea about the Catahoulas too, why not, Auburn Tigers have their War Eagle and it works for them. As for costume for the Mascot-Gator, less is more - kinda like that one the Icegators had a few years back. A head piece for sure but keep movement free enough so he can do some kicka** stunts and gymnastics stuff. I believe the Cayenne thing is a bit lame. Let's face it, he looks like a really ____ed off tomato and I don't know anyone who likes him. Louisiana Red! Louis and Anna!

I really like the Bull Gator idea as a mascot. I'm a student at UL right now, I can pretty much assure anybody that the majority of the student body would be in favor of a mascot change.

Hey Gang! I haven't been around in awhile and am loving this thread.
Since my son's school mascot is the "Blue Gators" I think the "Bull Gators" are a much closer stretch.

You know it seems we'd see a ferocious red gator way before we'd see a blue one!:confused:

Anyway, good to have a few minutes to run around here while listening to the game.

Always been partial to the English Bulldog, it gets my loyalty vote. If I had a second vote it would be the Bullgator, I find it very unique.
