We'd go in as the 14 seed. Just like when a 14 seed advances in the NCAA basketball tournament. There is no reseeding. In other words, the 3-ASU/14-UL winner plays the 6-Tex/11-Ore winner in game 1 of the College World Series.

I honestly don't think there's a team left in this tournament that's better than the Cajuns. Doesn't mean we'll win the whole thing. But who can match this team's pitching and firepower?

I think Cal is the best team in the country ... but that does not mean they cannot be beat. But they are ... and should be the favorite. Extremely well balanced with a shutdown ace and a very good #2.

Arizona State can match the Cajuns. It is a shame that these two teams must meet in the super regionals.

I think Alabama matches the Cajuns as well. Very potent offensively and a shutdown ace. The Crimson Tide do not have a #2 pitcher, but with Traina being a bulldog capable of throwing an entire three game series, they usually get away with it. With Alabama, you need to make the series go three games.

Agreed... I'm curious how ASU feels about the seeding, my guess is if we win, there will be a bit of outcry about the seeding process... Especially if we make some serious noise or win the whole damn thing!

My guess is that there will be just as much "outcry" about the seeding process as there was when we were ranked #7 in the country, yet seeded #5 in an 8 team regional. The "other" Arizona team wasn't very happy we paid a visit to them that year, as I recall. It seems some Cajuns came in and spoiled their consecutive WCWS appearance streak out of the 5 hole...but still, nothing has changed.
