The University of Louisiana football team managed to get in an outdoor practice Friday, and that was an accomplishment.
The Ragin' Cajuns were forced to move inside for both its Tuesday and Thursday practices in preparation for the Sept. 2 season opener at LSU, both times due to rain.
The skies were threatening again Friday, but the Cajuns managed to get in a one-hour, 45-minute session and got in all of its preparation work for today's situational scrimmage.
"We were able to get a lot of our situational stuff in," said Cajun coach Rickey Bustle, "so at least we'll be prepared for tomorrow."
The Cajuns will end their final week before actual game-week practices at 8:30 a.m. today, staging a light-contact situational scrimmage. Bustle said that almost every possible situation UL could face in a game situation will be covered.
"It's our last chance before we get into game week," he said, "so it's important for us."
