Someone explain to me how the hell this happened. How did a 20 year veteran coach of an established program totally lose control of his team?
What?
I have (and have had) a long term theory that a coach should never coach his son at this level.
"This is no knock on the child"
Children know when a parent is bluffing and even when they are not bluffing they tend to react to warnings like water off a ducks back.
Other kids pick up on this if they intend to or not.
Without even knowing it the child of a coach teaches fellow players they can get away with a plethora of things.
At the very least the situation takes the edge of of urgency.
