This is beyond pathetic
OK---I am recruiting for UL or Monroe----Who am I recruiting and why-----Don't know but it seems that they are getting better baseball players and therefore winning-----So how can Monroe attract a baseballer over UL????? Anyway it is just a puzzle to me what the hell is going on ----EVEN WITH worse players there is no excuse for the differences in scores this weekend----SOMETHING very BIG is wrong with this program and needs to be fixed now---Very Ironic that Monroe slaughters us in basketball and now baseball to end the seasons---both are a pathetic display by the Ragin' Cajun athletes in these sports!!!!!
High school kids dislike the concept of having to bunt all the time.

I agree. Pathetic might be too nice to describe this situation. I was excited about the recruits (this year's freshman class)we got last year. Conrad only had a few errors at second and Butler lead us in home runs, but what happened to our juniors and seniors?
I didn't expect us to win the league, but please, last place in a weak conference this year is pitiful. Come on now, Monroe spanked us in our last home series.
I looked back and in the last 10 years, I don't think we ever had a losing overall record. Can someone tell me when was the last time we ended up under .500? I am not calling for Tony's head, but something needs to change next year.
The telling stat on the news Sunday night showed we were 9th place in most of the hitting categories. Losing our hitting coach during the season didn't help, but how many one and two run games did we lose this year? A few more hits each game changes that score.
Sorry for the rant, but as baseball fans we should expect better.
Thank god the softball team took away some of the pain from this weekend.
I searched the archives and unless I missed a season, this was the worst season ending loss in school history.
