PRO: A rookie to the NFL, D'Anthony Batiste has spent time over the last two seasons in the Canadian Football League and the Arena Football League. He signed with Dallas as a free agent in June, 2006 after his release from the CFL by the Edmonton Eskimos. Batiste signed with Edmonton in the spring but was released after two preseason games. He spent the 2004 season with the Bossier City Battlewings of AF2.
COLLEGE: Batiste was an All-Conference offensive lineman in 2003 as a senior with Louisiana-Lafayette. He played four years for the Ragin' Cajuns earning two starts in six games as a freshman and playing in 11 games, earning several starts each of his last three years.
PERSONAL: Batiste helped lead Marksville, La., High School to three straight playoff appearances from 1996-98 and was named to the all-state, all-district, all-parish and all-region teams during his prep career. He was a criminal justice major while at Lafayette. He has two children, twins, Jayeden and Katelyn.
