I believe the earlier one is correct... ladies... at least those I'm familiar with... are notorious for fibbing about their age.

Was one pitcher pulled early or was one stuck in the circle?

    Poor mom.

I think the squeeze was on, but the dad stepped off the rubber early and was called for a balk. Later, he got in a little rhythm and smashed a deep ball up the middle, past the mound, stretched it and went in head first for the double. In the 9th, he put two on the board, one that came smoothly across the plate... the other dragged up the rear, missed the take home sign, but still managed to limp through the victory circle with her sister.

    That isn't the hole story...

Their dad was known to carry a big stick in his day. Their mom was known for her nasty slider. She also loved the split finger. They were a pair of ballers, they were. She could bring the heat and that man loved to hit it. She would push off that rubber in a full stretch and throw some junk on him like you wouldn't believe. When he was in the box, he liked to waggle, but kept his eye on the mound as he took his smooth powerful strokes. He could usually take her deep in the cOunt before smacking it deep. He was a player in his day, but so was mama.

I'm talking strictly about playing baseball, Andre. Get your mind out of the gutter.

And that's why they play the game on the field! Great stuff.

AND I want some of what you're drinkin', just a little.
