Slapper's did the job against WKU and N. Texas. USA had that covered playing our slappers close up. Our power hitters was sitting on five gallon buckets. USA had us scouted and did the job needed to win.

And even still a ball 2 feet to the right for Myers in the 5th scores a run or if Katie hesitates a half second more, though it still looked too close to overturn, or Myers takes the easy out in the 5th or Paige bails her out. All those very close plays went against us and it was still only 3-1, even playing lower than our high standards and them playing pretty good. It took those breaks going against us. But that's softball.

USA did what it took and deserved it. They were better. We've gotten breaks when we needed at times too.

No, after rewinding and watching a few times the angle wasn't good but you could see Smith still at base as the ball was caught. Bad call imo

THAT was the turning point in this game, IMHO. We go up 2-0 there, still batting.... would have been huge. Instead, it totally pumped up USA and they adrenalized the next inning - exploding for 3 runs....

She clearly left early, maybe she returned I could not see for sure but she left a good bit early if she did not return. This is not the first time this year she got caught leaving early. The coach should be giving her a verbal at third base, like Leave.

Stevie P was animate she did not leave early. He said from where he was broadcasting he had straight line sight from his stance through third base to the outfielder.

She must have come back, with the ump seeing what you saw.
