St Landry Parish President frustrated with councilmember

The St. Landry Parish President has strong words for a council member who's alleging government wrongdoings. We found out the council will consider asking State Police to step in.
Among other things, Council Member Pam Gautreau claims funds are being misappropriated.
"She has approached this administration as she has with the last. She's continued to have a combative spirit and an obstructive approach," said Parish President Bill Fontenot. "It's been very counterproductive to my administrative efforts to move the Parish ahead."
Council Member Gautreau declined an interview but says:
"If Mr. Fontenot considers a councilmans attempts to do things right for the parish is being 'obstructive,' then he needs to take a look at the definition of the word."
Gautreau claims people have lost confidence in their government.
"I think, and I'm hearing from most of the people, that they are lacking confidence because of this combative spirit and obstructionist approach," said Fontenot.
The council will consider launching an investigation into parish finances when it meets next week.
