According to Steve the hit was to the warning track and she didn't pick it up cleanly and just like Bab in the baseball game, ML waved her home. Difference is Katie made it.

The outfield (and infield) was playing Katie in tight (as many opponents do). She stroked it over the second baseman, splitting the center-fielder and right-fielder with enough velocity to slowly make it to the wall. The right-fielder could have played a better angle, but was a little fooled with respect to how well it was hit. Speed did the rest.
