From tastiest town, to one of the most optimistic cities, to one of the best music cities, the list goes on. Lafayette keeps being recognized as a great place to live, work, and play. Now the city ranks as the best mid-size city for jobs in the country, according to Forbes magazine.
When the opportunity came to expand Deano's pizzeria to South Lafayette, owner and manager Ashley Metcalf jumped at the chance
"The growth in Lafayette has really increased in the last few years so it was a great opportunity for us. The sales are great we couldn't ask for better," said Metcalf.
Open for about a year, business at Deano's South is booming. Metcalf believes Deano's is successful because people support mom and pop shops.
"People here are just friendly we keep each other grounded with that sense of home. I think that's why we're not like other places in the country when it comes to jobs," said Metcalf.
"A lot of people come here for the culture, they come here for the food, they come here for the music and they want local music ..
