Expectations are funny, though. We didn't think we'd be able to replace the guy who came before Leinart. ML never looked that great, and barely beat out another guy for the job (Matt Cassell, who now backs up Brady on the Patriots). Then ML wound up being even better - go figure!
It is crazy how that works out...what really makes me sick though is your backup QB from that year is a backup in the NFL lol
