There is no way that there is that much difference in our two teams, yet, once again, La Tech is perceived nationally as being much better. UL won it's bowl game. Tech lost in theirs. I don't know if it was playing Boise every year or what, but for some reason, Tech has a much better national reputation than they deserve.

You are mightily simplifying it. Tech played a tougher schedule and was very competitive. Plus, the bowl game they lost was to a highly respected TCU team who was ranked in the top 20 at the time. Not the case for San Diego State.

Tech has beaten several BCS teams over the years so that is one reason why they have a better reputation than the Cajuns.
