I didn't know it had broken. What happened? I hope they get it fixed or replaced soon.

We drink it every day as do my plants. In addition the sun breaks it down very fast in a natural environment. Not in the least worried about the critters and plants.

Well that's strange. I didn't know that. So you swimming in a toddler pool. That's about the only pools with tap water. 😕😕😕

Ok. Tap too toxic for goldfish. LOL. EXCEPT they do fine in it. Also don't forget the city added clorine disappears very quickly. That's why I constantly add it to my pool and outdoor fountain.

Typical drinking water free chlorine concentrations are not lower than 0.5 ppm (By the emergency rule passed by DHH about 18 months ago because of the brain eating ameoba) and can be as high as 2.0 ppm. Swimming pool free chlorine is going to be about 3.0 to 4.0. The water entering into cypress lake is being aerated at the discharge but it won't get rid of all of the free chlorine. The naturally occurring organics in the water will rapidly bring that down to zero. In the process there is a certain amount of oxygen depletion because chlorine is a strong oxidizing agent. I have noticed that there are no fish in the area where the water is entering the pond. I would suspect it is too hot and they are going to deeper portions of the lake.

The original water supply had a nozzle on it that did a better job of aeration and free chlorine removal.

Notice debris piles are separated into different materials.
