Hard to tell, but it sure looks like they are now on the old Olivier hall????
A few photos from late today July 28, 2015
Olivier Hall starting to come down.
Using the debris to get a little extra height.
First bite of Olivier Hall
7 number 8 rebar in a very tight spiral bound column. Very surprising for a building this size. Although these buildings were built at the start of the cold war. Maybe they were expecting a nuclear attack.
Another view of a very ugly building.
Well I guess there isn't a need to move the cam, as this will all be over pretty shortly...guess my productivity will go up a bit, ;-)
Also, he is moving Corona debris to create a ramp for Olivier. I had not watched much yesterday, so had missed that. I had wondered if they were going to have to bring in bigger equipment for Olivier....guess they are just smarter than me.
Demo cam showing several piles of debris where once stood three buildings.
And into the ether goes several decades of ____ed off students who thought they could park wherever they damn well pleased...and the noble knights who protected the limited parking spaces for paying customers.
It's hard to tell on the cam, but it seems like they really are all gone now: looks like Olivier is just a big debris pile that will soon be hauled away.
Funny, but as good as it all looks, it really is a strange.....site. It will take a while to get used to the new look, but I look forward to that happening. ;-)
