Martin Hall was red brick. I was there. Red Brick, like Girard Hall and Foster. Matched.

Our family has a brick from Martin Hall. It is red. I think we also have a marble slab that was one of the steps of the front staircase.

For the out of town folks, I took a few photos around the campus construction sites with my phone so please excuse the photo quality. I also tried to take some different views than what most have been seeing. I'll break them up into a couple of groups of photos due to the quantity.

So by the looks of it they're going to keep that original brick facade on the auditorium and bookstore? I understand why they would want to use the existing structure to save on costs, but keeping the exterior is going to look ugly.

OK---this is just crazy---We have the student union, the Quad, the new parking garage, the arch building, the South end zone, the Athletics performance Center, and the Track/soccer construction----Am I leaving out anything---When it was said one Billion in just finished or in the works and future they weren't kidding!!!!!!!!! Yea WOW!!!

Boomer, there are others that will most likely be publicized soon that are still in the development stage and haven't gone for bid yet.
Also, the soccer/track facility is still in this stage as well.

More and more of the outside envelope of the food service wing is being completed. Glass is being installed in the window openings. After that, they caulk and do other waterproofing. This is good because the inside will be "out of the weather" and work can continue without weather interruptions.

The cypress trees have defolitated and you can see more of the new building across from Cypress Lake. This photo taken from the front of Burke Hall.



The week to week progress is not that dramatic now that a good portion of the work is moving inside.

They are continuing to close up the food service wing. This as seen from the steps to Buchanan Hall



They have placed temporary plywood over openings to keep the weather out. I imagine it was pretty cold in there this past week. This is from the Harris Hall fire escape.
