I do not know the story and will not spread any rumors other than I heard he fell from the balcony as well. Danny was one of my teachers back in 83 and I have always have had great respect for him.

I don't know the term, but Danny was still a student and was the dorm "counselor?" when I was a freshman in the fall of "74. It was the private room on the ground floor of McCullough Hall.

View to student union is opening up nicely. I think this corner has the potential to be the nicest spot on campus.




Ramp up to the Cypress Lake balcony remains.

ACI 318 10.3.4 and 10.3.5 code violation. 14 number 8 bars with a no 3 spiral at 2" in a 14" column. The guy operating the machine told me every column base was the same. They must have been expecting a nuclear attack or something. Concrete codes have changed dramatically since these building were constructed.

The guy operating the backhoe told me they are looking to finish up this coming week. This will be their fourth week here and they are ready to go home. He did say they made some money on all of the recyclables they mined from the buildings. All in all the ugly buildings are gone, the balcony is saved and I am happy. Everybody else should be too.

Yes: we will have gone from an area of blight to one of unique beauty; beauty that can and should be a signature asset for us.
