They don't demolish small buildings like this with explosives. These guys are taking every bit of the material from these buildings and recycling the steel, concrete, copper and aluminum. This is where their profit is and they are squeezing as much out of it as possible.

As of now they are about 50% through old Corona. I would suspect they will be finished by this afternoon.

Ah, I've learned something new about construction yet again.....thx.
And to some people it must be like watching paint dry, but i have a hard time tearing myself away from it, lol.
I took a short, 50 sec video of it from Hebrard blvd this morning, but it won't let me post it.
Another thing I learned is that although it looked like it had a flat roof, it actually a had steel-trussed pitch roof to it....it was just concealed from view.

Old Corona is down. They will have several days of work to remove debris and general clean up. I would suspect they will start on old Olivier hall on Thursday or Friday of this coming week.

Yeah, that's what I've been told, Someone on FB had posted about 2 months ago that they had seen it, but when I searched for it I couldn't find it. So I then asked someone at the info desk, who called someone and I was told that it is not installed yet, but safe and secure waiting to be re-hung. I was going to contact someone higher up but never did.
