Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission...
http://www.katc.com/news/tour-inside...-union-so-far/Construction of the new UL Student Union is nearly complete.
Two years ago, crews demolished the former union, which was built in 1971. The $36 million renovation and expansion project is part of UL's master plan. The new building will be closer to McKinley Street than the previous union --- to allow for more green space overlooking Cypress Lake
"The stairways are a little more grand and more spacious. It's supposed to give people the feeling of being in a high quality facility," UL Director of Facility Management William Crist said.
LOL
I know Helmut's pics are much better than mine, but to try to heal somewhat from the debacle that was last night, thought I'd take a stroll around campus this morning. Not really much change to the union, other than it continues to be closed in just about everywhere. They also continue to make progress on the plaza hardscaping.
That's why I slowed up. I found myself taking photos of the same thing each week, Once they closed in the building there was not that much to show from the outside. The inside of the food service wing is looking pretty good they will have it finished well before the remainder of the building.
The UL Facebook page posted a few pics recently....looking good!
