Once open, will former students be able to take tour of facility. I would love to see it once it opens.

-----Are you kidding me---YOU own the damn place---Hundreds of times I have just waked the campus to just check out what is happening and it is so unreal -First the place was cleaned up and fixed up and new signage to the old buildings----with the apartments to the back and front of campus we beautified and found beds for students---parking has been helped with the garages---some cool new busses are coming for the kids to ride----the bike path is something I want to do soon---And we all know what is coming to the athletic campus----When kids see the IPF there is a wow factor---This whole damn place is starting to become a WOW University!!!!

Okay, I found a pic of the swamp when it had a walking path in it. From what I can tell, it looks likes it was located in between Guillory Hall and the Union ...... but was this when Guillory was the union??

Own worst enemy.

Question: Does the Theater have a view of the Swamp? Is it an open theatre?

Architects Southwest did the union design. They more than likely put the "ULL" on the plans.

Not much change in the Boucher Street facade. They are doing interior build out and finish.

I've got to tell you. The more I see it, the more I dislike the white metal also! It's a shame. This is such a beautiful building, a little more brick would've gone a long way.

Wow...that must've been really cool. Where was the path located (where did it start/end)? Do you know when it was removed, or why?

It was abandoned when they build the new student union (the one they are renovating now) and built the brick wall around it. I think they wanted to put gators in the lake and they needed to keep them in. Wouldn't be to safe to walk down the path with gators in it. The parking area behind Burke Hall was gravel at the time. If you could find the right shaped rock you could skip the rock on the water.

I cant wait until the union, parking garage, and the quad are done. The campus will look so much better and the campus wont feel like a big construction site. I know we'll always have construction on campus, but we're doing a lot of it in a small surface area.

I got the pic from the "Lafayette Memories" FB page. According to the caption on it, the date was 1969.
