Wallace Earns Sixth LSWA Pitcher of the Week Award

For the second consecutive week, UL freshman pitcher Jordan Wallace and LSU junior hurler Rachele Fico shared the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) Softball Pitcher of the Week award Thursday as voted upon by the state’s sports information directors.

Wallace is having a career year. She has lots of run support, but in some games she has had to dig deep, just like last week when Brignac got knocked out of the game. She had to put the stop on anymore runs. She has really improved, and if she starts giving up fewer long balls look out.
