First series UL has lost to UALR since 2001.
Wow.
This had to be a gut wrenching loss for players and coaches. They basically gave this game away. Scoring eight runs is usually plenty for this squad. On the rare day when they score lots of runs; pitching, defense, and base running bites them. If you count the miscues, you wonder how they kept it close. First of all nine walks on it's own is a recipe for disaster. Add three hit batters and that is 12 base runners who did not earn their way on. Of course your odds of winning when you have a triple play go against you are not real good. Finally, a guy hits a home run in the top of one inning and then commits a critical error in the bottom of the inning. It can be a cruel game sometimes.
We suck.
