16. Tyrell Fenroy - UL Lafayette (SO)
Fenroy was a part of Ragin’ Cajun history last season, as he became the first running back in school history to top 1,000 yards. Overall, the surprise freshman posted 1,053 yards and 12 touchdowns, while averaging 5.9 yards per carry. His 72 points were tops in scoring for the Ragin’ Cajuns and the bar has been set even higher for 2006. One of the reasons why the Ragin’ Cajuns reeled off five consecutive wins was the powerful rushing attack, which ended up as seventh best in the NCAA. With quarterback Jerry Babb expecting a full and healthy 2006, the Ragin Cajuns could be even better, but two talented backups may steal carries to keep Fenroy fresh; Jamario Thomas’ healthy return places him as the number two back in the Sun Belt Conference.
