Festival Scavenger Hunt

Do you think you're the ultimate fan of Festival International de Louisiane? There's an app to help you prove it.
For the first time ever, Festival fans can take part in a scavenger hunt.
"The Festival is 26 years-old now, and we've had many people say they are the ultimate festival fan," said Kim Neustrom, President of the Festival Board of Directors. "So this year we're putting people to the test."
You have to download the Festival app to find the clues and a to-do list, like taking pictures with bands or challenging Festival volunteers to a dance-off.
"We think it's gonna be a great addition, because it gets people to Festival foot print areas that they hadn't been before, or hadn't thought about going to," said Neustrom.
To follow the scavenger hunt, you can download the app on your Android or iPhone, follow along with the scavenger hunt and complete the challenges over the weekend.
"At the end of Festival on Sunday afternoon, we'll draw the names of the people who collected the most amount of points," said Neustrom. "We have 3 prizes. From going to a concert, to a New Orleans trip, to some downtown gift certificates."
You can also earn points by scanning QR codes hidden in downtown businesses.
"We really think it will encourage people to seek out some of the things that maybe they hadn't found in the past," said Neustrom.
Along with the scavenger hunt feature you can listen to the artists performing and have the weekend forecast, courtesy of KATC, at your fingertips.
Festival is free all five days. But to stay free, they rely on pin, t-shirt, food and drink sales. The Festival shuttle will pick you up at Cajun Field starting tomorrow at 5, Friday at 4 and Saturday and Sunday at 10:30.
The shuttles start 30 minutes before performances begin and end 30 minutes after, and will run every 15 minutes.
