Does anyone know if UL is going to make people that buy tailgating spots buy X number of season tickets this year?

Yes, and I believe X = 2.

A meeting for people interesting in buying tailgating spots?
I have no idea.
But, if you don't already have a spot; one may not be forthcoming. From what I understand, there is a waiting list already for tailgaiting spots. If you already had a spot last year - better get it renewed!
The deadline for tailgate spot renewals was July 28th. I sent mine in last Monday, the 24th. It is true that you cannot obtain a spot unless you have season tickets.
How much do the spots run? How would one go about getting a tailgating spot (assuming any would come available)?
IF you don't have that answer by now, you aren't getting one this year. I know there was a long list of people trying to get in this year. I would call as soon as the season is over and ask when such a list would be started for next year, although it is entirely and very likely possible that there will be some roll-over from this year's list. Those spots are $150 per spot, there are about 250 of them. They SHOULD get all of that limestone out of the yard, grow the grass again, and open up another 100+ spots. If the team keeps improving, people will be tailgating in there anyway, the schol might as well make money off of it.Originally Posted by BrockMeaux
Then they need to create some general parking across Congress between LITE and the old UL Hospital to allow Cajun Basin to have more tailgating spots. $$$$$$$Originally Posted by rhineaux

I remember a few years ago (~1999) for a homecoming game, I remember having to park over there. That practice should be started up again, and, tailgating spots should be set up from Reinhardt to that little road that splits the yard.
That is prime real estate, meaning if if can't make UL money forget general parking.Originally Posted by Turbine
ive always tailgated by the fence on the corner of congress and bertrand, dont remember ever having to pay to tailgate there and there is usually plenty of room there till about an hour before the game, i think what you guys may be talking about in the original intent of this post is tailgating near the bandstand area and all the stuff that goes on in that area, personally i am content with tailgating by the fence with the rest of the poor folks
