It may take some diligence to find them, but Sun Belt Conference football teams will be televised 34 times during the 2006 season through seven different outlets.
The University of Louisiana will be on four of those broadcasts, beginning with the 7 p.m. Sept. 2 season opener at LSU, which is tentatively scheduled for tape delay on Cox Sports Television.
UL will appear on ESPN2 for its Wednesday, Oct. 18, game at Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, Fla., with a 6:30 p.m. (CST) kickoff, and ESPN Regional will air the 2 p.m. Nov. 4 game at Troy.
The Cajuns' fourth television appearance is Nov. 18 when UL hosts Florida International at Cajun Field. That game airs on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS), which goes into approximately six million homes in the Southeast but is not aired on any Louisiana cable and is currently not available on satellite.
