Their first 3 years of 1-A, '96, '97, '98, Boise had a 5-3 record against 1-AA schools. That's pathetic. They had an overall record of 12-22. That's not good either. Those same 3 years, they loss to ARIZONA STATE, WISCONSIN, and WASHINGTON STATE twice.

By the way, that CS-Northridge game you mentioned:

Those first 3 years, Boise didn't pound anybody. They built their program by winning championships and bowl games.

I honestly think we are on the same page with this. We both know you have to have great leadership at coach and in higher places to make things work. But like I said you have to have a reasonable schedule going get your brains beat in week in and week out doesn't build a team that just tears it apart.our schedule this year is perfect in my opinion and I think we have a coach that will take us places.

So what looks better 10-2 with 2 money games losses or 8-4 with 4 money game losses. Winning helps and if you don't think that then your crazy. Look at North Texas they won 5 Sunbelt titles and 1 bowl game and look where they are at. Unless you schedule right and win games in OOC you get no respect regardless of who your coach is. Winning brings in more fans, better recruits, and more money. With wins come championships and respect.

2) Scheduling more than 2 money games a year is not a good thing. I agree with you. However, that does not give you the green light to schedule Little Sisters Of The Poor for your other non-conference games. They should still be quality, yet winnable games.(Houston, Rice, Tulane, Louisiana Tech, SMU, TULSA, UTEP, Southern Miss, UAB, Memphis, Central Florida, East Carolina, Baylor, etc...)

3) With QUALITY wins come Championships and Respect.
