There have been a few really good ball players out of CenLa. Our own Trigger is a CenLa product, Oakdale I believe or maybe Deridder. Both those towns always gave OHS (Opelousas High) real battles in football in the day. Other great OHS rivals in my day were the Jennings Bulldogs, and Crowley Gents. Those bus rides took hours before I 10 and I 49 from Opelousas.
