One Dead and One in Custody after Opelousas Stabbing

A twenty year old Opelousas man is dead after a stabbing last night.

This all happening around 9:30 Wednesday on Ina Clare Drive where police believe a fight erupted before a man was fatally stabbed. Upon arrival,medics found the victim laying in the street and transported him to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Joseph Russel Guy Junior of Opelousas is in custody and is suspected of the murder. Joseph did suffer a stab wound and is being treated at an area hospital. Police Chief Perry Gallow says the suspect is cooperating and they have recovered the weapon.
