There will not be murals, just Jerseys with the hall of fame player's name on the back, along with their numbers.
I inserted a picture of the new paint into post #1 . . . reserving judgement till I see the finished product.Originally Posted by Jacob
What I would like to see is them take all the numbers out of retirement and instead make a bust, plaque or monument of some sort to continue alongside the one we already have for Keener Cagle. It would make the levee walk a tourist stop of sorts.
ps the 1st monument is real the next 5 are fake
You're right that does look interesting. Can't wait to see what the final product looks like.Originally Posted by Turbine
ps, I like your monument idea, too. Although it looks kinda trashy with the chain link fence and trailer in the background! :-)
Love the plaque idea and I think the black paint looks good.
That's a great idea. Put it there and let fans visit Monument Park at home games.Originally Posted by Turbine
I also agree with the retired numbers. There are other players who deserve number retirement consideration, but they played before this practice was in vogue. How many offensive linemen get their numbers retired?
You know how they have a walk of honor on UL's campus, maybe they could put a letterman's walk of honor on the walkway.Originally Posted by Turbine
I just had to copy this great idea to the Ideas for fundraising thread.Originally Posted by laragincajun
For football I would do it on the other levee under the scoreboard so as to get both walk arounds built.
I think it would look better closer to the athletic complex.Originally Posted by Turbine
