It was well after midnight before I got out of the traffic quagmire.)

We had the same problem with the traffic coming out of the lot across from Sports Bar. It took us 2 1/2 hours to get out of the lot. Campus cops showed up after most of the people around us hammered them with phone calls to send traffic control.
Anytime you get 100,000+ in such a small area there is going to be traffic problems. No way around it. I usually just head back to the tailgate, watch some of the games still going on, have a couple of drinks and wait for it all to clear before I head out.

I thought we should have thrown more and that Babb rushed the passes that were intercepted when he should have thrown it out or tucked it. 14 pts would have been nice, but 6 is better than 0 any day. The offense should have been mixed up a little bit. But, I'm not out there on the field. Maybe Babb saw something I didn't.

We had problems too. It took us about an hour and a half to get out of the parking lot we were in and onto the levee road. I'm not trying to attack the Tigers here but there is no way I would pay as much money as Tiger fans do to sit so far away from the action, have to park a mile from the stadium, and have to wait hours and hours to get out of a parking lot. As much as I would love seeing 100,000 fans in Cajun Field, I think i'd rather have 30,000.

The fact is that we have a very qualified qb sitting second, so if things are not going Babb's way, he should be replaced immediately in order to give this team a chance to win. Either that, or a rotation game plan should be installed each week. Depending on which qb is playing better and hot, they should remain in the game. What is different in football where starting qb's are not yanked when playing poorly...this occurs nightly when coaches replace their ace pitchers in baseball.

Additionally, the offensive coach did not threaten to stretch the field and/or take shots down the field during the ENTIRE GAME. Why not? Are we simply a run option team. Seems to me if the pressure is fast by the defensive line, then the coach would get away from this play action/fake handoff ____ and try to make quick strikes to his receivers or set up the qb in shotgun w/o any fake handoffs simply to allow him more time to view down the field. I thought the coaching and game plan on offense was not well thought of and uncreative, things that need to be considered when playing a undeniably faster and better team. Anybody agree w/h my thoughts concerning the offensive play calling?
Excellent post. Babb did not look like a division one qb at all. Pulling him may have settle him down also. There is no excuse that this team didn't do better than they did. I knew LSU's overall speed though would kill us and it did.

Well its easy for you to say that not being a fan of LSU, but once LSU football is part of you, you cannot miss it no matter what.

I think you guys are being VERY hard on a kid who was facing a great defense in the first game of the season. The defenses are almost always ahead at this point in the season. Maybe give him a couple of games before you tear into him.

What I meant was the cajuns blew two chances for at least 6 points. They missed out on those too.
