I say not calling off the dogs because when LSU has had several top-5 recruiting classes in recent years the 3rd stingers could be starting for 85% of the schools in the country. Not a big drop off from the starters except in experience.
Understand I don't think Miles did anything wrong or unwarrented.
It's just that with LSU being better than the 2002 team (in my view) and their not slowing up with top notch 2nd and 3rd stringers, and the score still being 6 points closer, it tells me UL has improved since 2002 as well.
Time of Possession
UL - 31:31
LSU - 28:29
I think this is something positive to take out of the game. In another bit of good news, A&M beats Citadel 35-3. Decent, but not mind blowing. A&M is running a 4-2-5, and said the LB's cant cover enough ground...Thats VERY good news for us.

I was suprised and impressed last night at Tiger Stadium, I did not have a single negative encounter with an LSU fan. In fact all of my conversations with LSU fans were very good and they commended us on our good team and admitted that the score did not seem to indicate the flow of the game. Regardless of whether we win a championship of lose every game I will be a fan of UL. Any good LSU fan is the same way about their school. I have a tremendous amount of pride in my school, my city (I'm a UL student) and myself. Obviously certain other people have no pride in anything, including themselves.
I yea man I had a great time, I had no problems this time around. I saw only one fight out of 100,000 people. I think that was pretty good.
Man they had some good cookin' going on in the BR that day!!!
Ron mexico sucks ___ hole LSU 45 ul 3 hahahahahahahahahahahaOriginally Posted by RonMexico
I'm not whining. There is a time in every game when you run the clock out. Coaches with class do not keep throwing the ball and calling time outs in the final 2 or 3 minutes of a game that is out of reach. Like I said before, have fun in the Peach Bowl.Originally Posted by Xlettrman
Might be "smoke", also. I do like our chances a little better against aTm.Originally Posted by Tuffguy21

If you like to look at a game a 2nd time to study certain plays or focus on certain positions . . .
Or if you want to see the game for the first time . . . .
Of if you are a glutton for punishment . . .
COX 37 (in Acadiana and BR) will replay the game twice
Tonight, September 3: 7:00PM
Wednesday, September 6: 7:00PM
"Coaches with class do not keep throwing the ball and calling time outs in the final 2 or 3 minutes of a game that is out of reach"
we threw 5 passes in the 4th quarter
one of which was perriloux's 10 yard pass to a TE on the final possession.
2 came on the first drive of the quarter, one of those was a 3rd and 9 play
now Flynn did run the ball a few times on plays that may have been passes in the huddle
should we run the ball every play of the quarter?
and we took timeouts not to run up anything, but to get perriloux more than 1 snap in his first game. he threw one pass, and handed off 3 times
i dont see how what we did wasnt classy. its not like we called timeout and threw the ball 40 yards. we had a true freshamn qb, a true freshamn running back , and 2 true freshman recivers on the final series
I think ya'll handled yourself as well as you could. Your in a situation where you want and need to get young guys some work. In a few weeks we play NC A&T I hope we are able to do the same exact thing ya'll did at the end of the 4th quarterOriginally Posted by lsumj
