It was the season opener. There were est. 30,000 outside the stadium. LSU could have scheduled William & Mary, that bad boy was selling out.

Will the Cajuns return ? probably..but not because of it's economic value to LSU on an opening weekend.

Myself, I wouldn't mind LSU playing the Cajuns once every couple of years. It wouldn't be fun to beat up on the same team every year (I know that sentence is going to over well here). LSU has the 10 year home and home deal with Tulane. That's the in-state school most LSU fans want to play every year. Hopefully, Tulane can become competitive again otherwise that series is not going to be any fun either. My question is why isn't UL and LaTech playing every year? That would be a competitive, fun rivalry for both schools.

You can throw a legion of cops at it and you're still going to be idling for a while. There's only so many cars you can jam down a lane in an hour.
Sorry i dont buy it... I've been to the Kentucky Derby and they handle 150,000 people.. As I mentioned New Orleans deals with about the same number of cars.. sure you will have delays but not absolute gridlock.. Look it really matters not at all to me but I do find it amazing that after all of these years they cant do a better job than they do...

Great question... I think it is scheduled to begin again... As is McNeese.... I'd love to play Southern instead of another D-II team..So that is a very legit comment....

The Tech series is set to resume. McNeese is a one shot deal. We will never have a home and home with a 1AA school.

Sorry I was not suggestion a home and home... Just think if we have a hole in our schedule I think it would be great to bring the Jags in...

Gosh, all those years of traffic engineering classes for naught! I've run into a true expert!

What do you think of the idea of adding noise rumble strips or small indentations on the bike path shoulder on Johnston street?

Glad to have both Jerry and Mike... healthy! I agree with the posts on not running the QBs against LSU. It may have been by design. But, I also think our QB run comes off of a well executed fake in less predictable circumstances. LSU just wasn't biting. What Babb can do will be done well against other foe. I also think Mike will see some QB playing time. I just don't want it to come off of a Babb injury.

As for tax dollars, My family owns a business, I own a law practice and together we pay plenty of taxes. I'll better that the average income inside tiger stadium on Sat is higher than it is in Cajunfield. Look at our luxury boxes that generate more than UL's entire revenue per game. I would also bet that there are more college grads in tiger stadium than pepperfield.

See the thing is, your attitude drives soft supporters like me away from UL.
Money tends to make up for other things lacked in life. It only means something because we are told it is.

Most LSU fans only support LSU(there are a few that somewhat support UL). Oh and for the record, we know how much money your football program generates. However, you should LOVE fans like IHATESTATE, myself and all the others that dislike LSU. At least we didn't jump on the bandwagon.

I am sure all the AGGIE fans might have jumped on the national champs band wagon and will be cheering on the longhorns this week. ha ha Ya right. Face it, nothing anyone can say or do will change the minds of strong minded people(UL or LSU). so how about we cut the ____ agree to disagree???

Not meaning to impose, but I believe they have several safe medical treatments for that "soft supporter" thing you have going (ie. viagra, cialis, etc.) But in the event that does not work you can always play that Billy Cannon run as "mood music"...that ought to do it for ya!

(sorry, dude, you were asking for it and I just couldn't resist!)

Also for the record. I DID have an incredible time for the game. It was so good to see some sort of embrace. Again Thanks.
But that still doesnt change my mind
    I still dislike LSU.
