Over 80% of LSU students live off campus so they would be stuck in traffic with you anyways and not just walking to their dorm. The Superdome is located next to the interstate making things easy on everybody. Read AYXCajun's post for a little common sense, something you obviously lack.
If it will make you feel any better, me and my UL gang were leaving Tiger Stadium and my buddy goes "you can't ever get out of Cajun Field this easy". "We have way less traffic and our 2 cops just milk the overtime holding us thru 2 gates."

You know where traffic sucks... wherever you are when you are in it!

That is part of my complaint. I saw very few "traffic directors" (cops/security/whatever). I would have thought there would be a large number of people directing traffic to get the flow moving, but I didn't see it. Pregame, I was trying to go north on Nicholson to Skip Bertman Dr to take a left toward the levee. The entire left turn movement (as well as the other directions) was controlled by the traffic signal! That meant that everyone trying to turn left had about 4 cars get through before the light changed. A cop directing traffic could get a larger flow through and alleviate some of the congestion. Certainly that volume of traffic is going to cause traffic congestion. I just thought they'd have a better system for getting it to flow a bit better. BTW, this was not my first time to an LSU game. Also, according to news reports this was the 3rd largest crowd in Tiger Stadium history! I guess we might get invited back.

I realize that people might want to see Desormeaux and why not? He is electric. But realize that we will have him under the center for the next two years (knock on wood). Just be patient.

BTW, you are starting to sound a lot like an LSU fan, praising someone when they are doing well and wanting to kick someone off the team when they are doing bad. We are better than that.

LSU is a DAMN good team and I admit that Babb made some silly mistakes, but he is the most accurate passer in UL QB history and we need to ride him as much as possible. HE IS THE MAN THIS YEAR AT QB.
I like Babb. He is a pretty good QB. But he ain't no Mike Desormeaux. You know it, I know it, anyone who watched last season knows it; including the coaches in the SBC, who essentially made up a position on the all-SBC squad to acknowledge it. That being said, I have no problem with him being the starter and I wouldn't have pulled him, either.

Well you should have a problem with it. The best player that we have should start at that position.

However, I don't see how everyone who wathces football should undoubtedly know that Desormeaux is a better quaterback than Babb. Is he more electric, of course. Can he do things with his feet that Babb can't, sure, is Babb still mobile, yes.

I have no problem saying that Desormeaux is the quaterback of the future, and I think he will be great when his time comes. Babb has been the leader of the turnaround of this program. We were 1-2 las year without Babb, 1-3 if you count UCF when he got hurt in the 1st quarter. Is that Desormeaux's fault, of course not. But maybe we shouldn't discount what we have.

    Some statistics:

    Passing:
Babb: 74 completions on 119 attempts 3 INT, 3 TD
Desormeaux: 62 completions on 117 attempts 5 INT, 0 TD

    Yards Per Completion:
    Babb - 11.6
    Des - 9.6

    Yards Per Carry:
    Babb - 6.2
    Des - 5.6

    Rushing Touchdowns:
    Babb - 4
    Des - 3

Still, I love what Des brings to the field, and he is extremely exciting, just don't see how you can say its obvious he is the better qb.

Go Cajuns!! Go Des and Babb!!

Were you yourself perhaps drinking something when you claimed to have seen this? You are a liar! You really need to stop grasping at straws and making up ____ like this. I cannot,.....well actually I can believe that you posted something like this. You seriously need some help dude!

3rdRow, I ve got nothing but good reports from the folks I know that went to the LSU/UL game.

I dont have to tell you that there have been some problems in the past with the "fringe" element at LSU(not meant as a slam), but this weekend everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.

They appreciate it, I appreciate it.

Best of luck the rest of the year!

I guess it depends upon your definition of "fun" 3rd Row....

If "fun" is seeing who can be the most obnoxious fan when an opposing fan walks by... LSUA&M has it hands down

If "fun" is meeting new people and welcoming them to your home... UL has it hands down.. Ask the Minnesota Fans.. They went back and wrote a letter to their home town newspaper sayin g they had never had a more enjoyable time at a tailgating...

Large numbers do not make the environment better.... It's quality... I am not going to get into a debate that obviously I cant win.... but as you said to each their own... I just dont get what you call "passion" when in fact it is "obnoxious" behavior.....

I do hate LSUA&M but please tell me what that has to do with 2+ hours of sitting motionless in a parking lot??? There is one interstate next to the Superdome... LSUA&M campus is about a mile.. perhaps 2 from an interstate... It makes no sense for traffic to be that bad and I think you realize that...

One thing I can say is you are indeed an LSUA&M fan to the core my friend.. Every post has to have a personal attack "....common sense, something you obviously lack"...

You know I teach a course on Critical Thinking... One of the strategies we discuss is "Attack the person rather than the argumement".. Seems you are quite adept at that strategy....

I can see you know.... belly hanging over your spandex purple shorts.... sweat pouring down your face as your neck neck buldges yelling Tiger Bait at a 90 year old woman wearing the opposing team colors... The turning to high five your equally inebriated friends when she gets flustered..

No I dont think you look like that.... just playing your game of "attack the person rather than the argument"

The food is just as good if nto better at UL tailgating and the thing that I like most about UL is that everyone tailgates in pretty much the same area. Everyone is close enough to walk around and talk and share drinks and good food.

This sounds like the tailgating before the games at my local high school.
