All thats good but going for it on 4th down late in the game when it is clearly out of reach is bulls--t. Not only that but calling timeouts in the last 2 minutes of the game then coming out throwing the ball also should not happen. I have lost all respect for Les Miles and will not be returning to Tiger Stadium as long as he is coaching. I hope LSU has fun in the Peach Bowl again this year.

    Quit whining!

That's how the game is played...I suppose if the table was turned and UL was up on LSU...you would have wanted to do different!

I had a great time yesterday and the comment kept getting made by LSU and UL fans that with the excitement that was in the air, there is no reason that we don't play this game every year. But thats a different story.

I was disappointed but I seen so many positive things from our team that I am excited for the rest of the year. People will say our pass defense is bad but this is one of the best receiving cores in the country...they are big, strong, and fast. Our running game looked good and I was pleased with the passing game other than that 1 knuckled head throw but Babb.

Highlight of the game for me. Was Derek Smith catching the pass over the middle and putting 1 hell of a move on the Tiger DB.

When we lost Alley, we lost our running game, besides Joe Addai. But now hopefully we can get Alley back to full strength for Auburn. Fenroy should rush for 1500 to 2000 yards this year if yall's line and he stay healthy.
Alley did look good but I look for Keiland to be the starter before the end of the year.

    Once again, good luck!
I have no problem with the way ya'll handled yourselves at the end of the game. When another team can score and keep moving the ball I think of a quote that Dan Hawkins made...“If we had knelt on the ball at the end of the game, wouldn’t that have been the end of the game? Yeah, it would have been. But Gandhi didn’ t take a knee. Martin Luther King didn’t take a knee. Thomas Edison didn’t take a knee, and I sure as hell am not going to take one either.” - Dan Hawkins

It was good to see Broussard run well...
I thought Scott and Williams were light years better than Vincent though...

    What happened to that guy?

    Default BEAT THE AGGIES!!

I myself am a Cajun Fan/recent Alumni & I caught most of the UL/LSU game on the radio while driving through New Orleans.

Besides the radio announces constantly referring to us as U-L-L.
Regardless of the lopsided score I think we controlled the ball for almost the entire 1st half. We gave the LSU defense fits with our running game. We were very successful defending the run. Our special teams looked very improved over last year's.

We went into hostile territory and came out injury free and with more respect than we had gong in.

OK Cajuns! Lets build on the positvies, work on the negatives and go into College Station ready to raise hell!

Vincent seems to be scared of contact. He was like that last year as well.

The timeouts were strictly for gaining experience. I don't think the intent was to run up the score. I believe you play hard til the clock runs out, short of risking injury to key players. Matt/Ryan need the game time reps. Jamarcus is not going to see that kind of pocket passing time in the SEC. If he tries, he is going to a) get cremated, b) make mistakes.

I thought the game came down to our lack of pass pressure, our DBs inability to cover LSU's outstanding WRs, and LSU's outstanding defensive secondary. The spread offense we deploy cannot handle the speed of LSU's defense.

On the upside, we are going to be extremely solid this year. We made very few mistakes, and every part of our game is looking solid. I especially like our special team play. They have such a huge impact on game outcome, and I think we are going to reap the benefits this year.

UL ran the offense that we are going to take to 11 more teams this year, and then the bowl game. It is not suited for an LSU defense. It is not designed to exploit an LSU. It will exploit the remainder of our schedule. Geaux Cajuns!!!

  14. Compared to 2002 LSU scored less, UL scored more.
  15. The drought is over.
  16. UL can run the ball.
  17. This will be a fun season.
  18. I think it is unfair to say LSU didn't call the dogs off. I mean the 2nd string came in after the 1st series of the 2nd half. I know there were time outs and they were still throwing the ball, but this is also still football. It's not LSU's job to keep the score down, it's the defenses.

As far as a I am concerned putting your 2nd and 3rd stringers in qualifies as letting up. This is coming from a guy who lost $40 last night, b/c USC decided they needed to be up 56-14 with 2 minutes left and went for it on 4th down and 4 and threw like a 35 yrd pass to get it.

Justin has always relied on his speed more than anything, he never really liked making contact. Even in hgih school he was good because of speed , I always wondered why he was rated as high as he was. I think he would have been better suited at WR. Devery Henderson was the same type of guy in high school and he made a successful move to WR and I think Jusitn would have benefited from that type of move as well.
