Just messing around with a Louisiana Logo

I saw a Breckenridge Ski Resort T-Shirt the other day and it sort of got me going on this.

i like the idea, i was thinking myself the other day of how we could launch something that would instill "Louisiana" into peoples minds that would be eye catching

what about making the "L" a little more boxy of a character?

yeah, much better. how does it look all in that text?
maybe you didnt but i just thought the first 'L' looked a little like an indian type of font. dunno...

but i do like the boxy, really.... kinda accents off the UL logo

very nice how the 'S' surrounded by each 'I' falls right in the middle of the word, it gives a lot to play around with

The way I'm looking at it today is . . . you can get UL out of LOUISIANA any day of the week but you can't get LOUISIANA out of UL.

I like it! Maybe you could try to line the 'L' up with the 'U' like Boomer was talking about. Why not give that a try to see how it looks. It would make the design asymetrical, but that often adds to the look.

good stuff... what would it look like with the U and L lined up? i hadnt thought of that...

i could see myself or someone putting this across their back glass

Does anyone have a good quality bitmap or jpeg of the UL logo (L in the U) that i can get a copy of?

I cant seem to find one online anywhere.

messed around myself... what do you guys think? took the UL idea and i like it. Turbine? you're the man what do you think... I didnt know the exact font so I matched it up to something that was pretty close. i think it looks really good from a distance
