Just heard Jay say that Leonard's is the only player hitting above .300. No wonder we're struggling.

Our hitters are proving to be anti-clutch.
I'm sure they are trying to do the best possible job.
That was one agonizing game to sit through.
Our second baseman Conrad had one hell of a fielding night---Twice I stood for him and once for the in the hole play by Leonards----Butler got the hit with one on and not with 2 on ---but just need to hit when needed!!! There decision to walk our Righty to get to Compton and then to pitch to him in I think the 8th were game changers!!!!
UL has had "TWO" great timely hitting nights all year.
1) Trahan's last night as hitting coach.
2) Deggs first night as hitting coach.
It is tough to change coaches mid season, the players have too much going on in their heads while at the plate.
Watch out come tournament time (when the smoke clears)
There are major league players that wish they could make a play like Conrad did on the high chopper. Best defensive play I've seen this year.
No matter how good our gloves are, though, we won't win much of anything if we can't score. Four or five hits...and one or two runs a game just won't do it.
