If his replacement gets them another BCS game, they'll overlook all but the ultimate transgression... again. They'd have kept BP if this hadn't blown up on them. BP's "transgression" that finally went over the line was embarrassing the president of Arkansas. If you can keep your trangressions below that alarm limit... and you win games... you can keep your job.

    That means nothing.

Anytime you can double your salary, especially in a fickle industry, you do it. Plus, Arkansas is a top 20 job IMO. (Which is why I think HUD won't be considered for it).

I thought the same thing. Esh.

Arkansas is too good. Their only losses last year were LSU and Alabama, and we know how good those 2 were. They are a borderline National Championship contender at this point in the program.

A 9-4 season at ‘Louisiana-Lafayette’, one year removed from 1-AA won’t cut it with Razorback boosters. I think its Skip Holtz, from South Florida, if they are looking for an up-and-comer or Butch Davis, most recently from UNC, if they want a solidified coach.

UL has never been 1AA, nor USL so not one year removed. Hud coached at Mississippi State a BCS program , and frankly Holtz is a terrible choice, and Butch Davis has cheating baggage, and did not to well at N Carolina even with that baggage. But I hope the Pig nation well with that guy from Ark State.

I was talking about his head coaching career at North Alabama. I'm pretty sure I understand that UL was never 1-AA. But thanks for the education lesson.

North Alabama was actually Division II. My bad.

Probably will go interim or higher profile. But Hud is good-I'll bet he ends up having a better career over the long run than whoever they hire. JMO
