I don't think we are even on CUSA's radar. Bottom line, we don't look like any candidates they are after except Tech.

So you saying no interview no job. Man there are very few situations where you get the job simply by letting people know you would be open to taking it.

Folks get ready to be upset, and get ready to dig harder, or get off the float.

    We wanna be in CUSA???

Well I will say this ---if Tech gets in and we don't ---we are in trouble ---DEEP TROUBLE-----This would put them 2nd or 3rd in recruits eyes and it should ---their money intake would sky-rocket and we would have a terrible time trying to get kids from them----Now they would have Tulane, Rice, Tech, and S miss telling kids that we are the lowest of conferences-----These are just facts of what goes on in recruiting---The TV appearances etc would all line up against us---This is huge---I can already see the posts to follow about its not a big deal---This is a huge moment in UL athletic history---Did I mention the forever ULLLLLL tag being with Monroe????

And exactly how would this be different than the previous 11 years?

-----Well Tech would now be playing CONFERENCE GAMES in our back yard---We have used/try to use the WAC and its distance against them for years and now they would be HERE-------More TV and more money-----When you hear a negative from somebody it can be effective---When you hear it from 5-6 people it becomes very effective----It is just the way it is and I can only hope it doesn't happen!!!!

I'm ready for whatever is going to happen, to happen already. When will CUSA announce who it is that they're inviting?

The official news could be weeks to months away, but I suspect they will let LTU , N Texas, and FIU know quickly if it is a no to them.

If they take N texas FIU SBC needs to try to get UTSA UTA Tx State or some decent comparable schools to replace them

Just like they did from 2001-2004 in the WAC with Rice, SMU, Tulsa, and UTEP. Only now it will be with Rice, Tulsa, Tulane, and Southern Miss.

And how did that work out? Not very well for the better part of 11 years. The high school players, rightly so, believed Tech was a superior football program in a superior conference. Recruits are starting to listen to us more, not because of what Tech is doing, but because of Hud. This good recruiting vibe will remain as long as the RCAF is in place and securing funding to build facilities and hire the right people.

Our future will not be denied by who Tech plays or where they play them. It can only be denied by this fanbase giving up.

Get ready cause it is going to happen, and I don't give a rats patooty about that.

All we have to do to counter this negativity is direct these recruits to the glass case which will contain all of our New Orleans Bowl trophys and our SBC championship trophys and the wall with all of the former Cajuns currently in the NFL, and give them the grand tour of our newly remodeled Cajun Field.

    That's how you combat this.

Keep your head down. Keep working like a dog. And throttle everyone in your path.

That's the Boise model. Soon to be known as the Louisiana model.
