The UL softball team will travel to Lake Charles, La. on Wednesday, April 4, to face in state rival McNeese State at the Cowgirl Diamond. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

In 1999 a 100 year anniversary focus went more in the direction of using "Ragin' Cajuns".

The terms "Cajuns" and "Lady Cajuns" were removed from helmets and uniforms.

Use of both terms is organic.

For gender equity, if you use Lady Cajuns then you must use Man Cajuns! I like Ragin Cajuns...period. I've known many a Cajun woman who raged...

also, the live stats are all screwed up, they show Mcneese playing LSU, with an LSU roster but with UL Lafayette on the box score. Way messed up.

Huge game for the Cajuns softball team tomorrow. Going for a perfect non-conference record which GoneGolfing said hasn't happened since I think Arizona St. did it in 2007 or something. I think this will carry alot of weight to the committee come selection time for a regional and and maybe a national seed for a super regional.
