I am of the opinion that it is time for a change. In fact, it's long overdue. However, he has a new 5 year contract. I think he needs a pep talk (or a swift kick in the arse) from coach Hud

Some people are just in favor of change for change's sake. We went to a regional two seasons ago and put on a really good performance there. Now we have a team full of freshmen and sophomores, we were all expecting a rough season.

What usually happens to seniors? They graduate.

Programs that are doing well, do have freshman, sophomores, and transfers that contribute at a high level. They also have juniors and seniors who were once freshman, sophomores, and transfers still in the program.

When is the last regular season championship, when is the last tournament championship?

Z says no sacred cows. I am pretty sure there should be none, and every coach needs to earn their cool seat. That means not too many bad or below average years, and championships often. IMO with the history this coach has created he deserves this year on the cool seat, but the seat is warming up for fan support even if he can do no wrong with the AD.

I made a comment earlier in this thread that this was an ugly weekend and that we've now lost 6 games in a row. I did not mention anything about changing coaches, but simply that we seemed to be in a free fall.

As far as having a young team, we are playing a lot of freshmen and sophomores right now primarily because they beat out our juniors and seniors that were expected to take over. That is why Austin and Cord are having to pitch and why Tyler is at 3rd (his hitting) and Jace and Chase were playing infield and why Francia and Butler are starting in the outfield.

We had several prior recruits not pan out...and we appear to be paying for it right now. Not a lot different than what happened with basketball.
