Amen CajunAmos just someone assuming and not really knowing. I have been to a few practices and have never seen Tony micro manage. And the losses have been a team effort way to many errors and base running mistakes and to many long balls given up.
So who's call is it to make defensive changes? I agree they have booted a lot of balls but we have also given up more bombs this year than I can remember. Leo ares has a hot bat and I know you need his stick in the lineup but unless his rbi's are out numbering the unearned runs he is causing, maybe it's time he gets a different view of the game. Trust me, it's robe's philosophy and that's it, no matter who is standing on 1st.
I understand it is his philosophy but that does not mean micro manage. Leonards has made his share of errors but he has one of if not the highest batting average on the team. All teams are run on the philosophy of the head coach
Then why bring in guys like Trahan and deggs if you aren't gonna listen to them? and I know the man is biased but if any freshmen pitched the way Austin has, they would be shelved for the rest of the season. I'm not one of these it's time to fire robe but it's just aggravating that anytime anyone questions the man it's like how dare you question the man who invented baseball. The problem I have with tony is that under his philosophy if you don't have lights out pitching, you struggle. Sometimes you need your bats to hit you out of pitching or defensive slumps but you can't do that when you are constantly giving away outs for bases, then getting thrown out on those bases. At what point do you say hey, we are stinking it up, let's try something else instead of just beating your head on the wall. We lost 2 reliable arms before the season started, Zimmerman has been hurt, we are booting the ball all over just let the kids play ball and swing the frickin bat. Stop thinking and swing, like they have done their whole life
